Issue 4
At the Margins

released
Fall 2020
Amidst the sociopolitical climate in our country and the world, we decided it was necessary to reground InPrint’s mission, which lies at the heart of why we do what we do.

Our 2019-2020 issue theme, “At the Margins,” aims to confront the borders and boundaries within our society that have pushed people to the sidelines. “At the Margins,” uplifts the voices within marginalized communities and shines much needed light on topics such as menstrual inequity, substance abuse recovery as a woman of color, food insecurity among students at UC Davis, and more.

2020 has been a trying time, and it's no understatement to say that events in the last few years have revealed how broken our social infrastructures truly are. It's all too easy to try and turn a blind eye to these issues, but we hope that reading these stories inspires you to bring change in your communities and advocate for those who too often go unheard.

We believe that empathy is a foundation to strong solidarity. Now more than ever, it is crucial to listen wholeheartedly to the challenges of these groups and to empathize with them. Only with that knowledge will true change take place. Through “At the Margins,” we want to honor the resilience of those impacted by systemic injustices.
